[LG webOS TV] Screen Problem
If you experience any of the problems below while using the product, please check the following:
There may be no problem with the product.
Initial Countermeasure
- Unplug the TV and Disconnect all HDMI , USB, Optical that may cause error during initial booting of the TV set
- Long Press manual power button for 10 Seconds to drain all the power stock on the circuit.
- Plug in the TV set and check for the OSD icon appear by pressing Volume , Settings or Menu .
- If the OSD Icon appear Try to perform the picture test ( Check below process ) If picture test is OK TV set is no problem
- But Above procedure was done but still No OSD Icon appear on screen instead Small amount of light is noticed ( You may call CIC for Service )
( CIC no. will be found Below )
Note : If the Picture test was done and the picture is clear and no problem the possible cause is from the external input source signal connected to TV
is causing the problem not the TV itself.
How to do the picture test please follow the procedure below
First of all, perform a ► ► ► Picture ► Picture Test
for check any abnormalities in the TV.
The screen overlaps or there are stripe patterns on
all channels/ programmes or on a specific channel/ programme .
Turn the antenna toward the broadcasting station or connect the antenna correctly in accordance
with the "How to Connect an Antenna" section.
If connected with cable box thru HDMI white bar lines appears ( Not TV Problem ) Just set the Just Scan to Off
Press settings --> All settings--> Picture --> Aspect ratio Settings --> Just Scan set to OFF
( This will activate if HDMI input is Used )
The screen shakes after the momentary appearance of
vertical/horizontal lines and net pattern .
- IF using HDMI input source it may fixed by Power off TV , Unplug HDMI cord then Plug in again then Power on the TV
Stop using items such as wireless telephones, hairdryers, electrical drills etc.
The problem is caused by high-frequency electronic devices such as another TV
or strong electro-magnetic sources.
A digitally broadcasted channel/ programme stops or its screen is broken.
- This happens when a signal is weak or reception is unstable.
Adjust the antenna direction or check the cable connection.
- If the signal strength is too low in ► ► ► Channels/Programmes
► Channel/ Programme Tuning ► Manual Tuning contact the broadcasting station
or management office to have the signals checked.
I cannot see digital broadcasts even though I am using a cable television.
Check your subscription information with your cable television service provider or ask for the signal to be checked.
Check your Cable signal if properly connected on the Tuner port
If you are using Setup Box Check your HDMI or RCA connector if properly connected
(Some products do not provide digital broadcasts.)
The screen is blank or the image is blurred when an HDMI cable is used.
Check that the HDMI ® cable meets the required standards. If it is not a certified HDMI ® cable,
the screen may flicker or may not display anything.
Check that the cable is properly connected. Improper connection may cause screen flicker.
For UHD TV the required HDMI cable is High Speed and Version 2.0
Required HDMI cable Length is within 3 Meters
( If over the Picture is affected might Flickering, No Signal or Horizontal lines appear on screen )
It does not work when I connect a USB device.
Check that the USB and USB cable versions are 2.0 or higher.
Check your USB File that might be files that blocking the TV system to read the file.
Try Other USB brand that might TV cannot recognize your USB type or just save one video to read the video file
Check your file format that might be not recognize by TV set.

Note :
Some of LTV models are not capable to adjust the brightness Level when using Internet which is the design
of the TV is already fixed on picture adjustment basic Models is below List:
